P5 PLEASURABLE PARENTING: Explores learning through experience not teaching THROUGH PUNISHMENT- Building confidence as a parent.
- Understanding what is happening and learning the skills to decide what actions to take.
- Developing potential in both parents and children.
- Learning the boundaries between what is acceptable exploration for learning and what is misbehavior.
P5 is a six weeks program and there is a $10.00 registration fee and $5.00 per session.

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy: Parent-Child Interaction Therapy is a program designed to assist nurturing parent-child relationships
The PCIT process aims to create more positive interactions between parents/carers and children, who display emotional and disruptive and oppositional behaviours, such as tantrums and defiance. Lifeline offers this program free, but it is important to give full commitment for the entire time for the program to be successful.

FAMILY CONTACT CENTRE
Family Contact Centre, Robbie's Place offers supervised contact and change over service for children and parents.
The service is for families who are in conflict and cannot arrange a mutually agreeable or safe venue for child-parent contact. Trained staff ensure contact and changeovers is free of any conflict

Gympie Parentlink (How to drug proof your kids)
Parenting programme aimed at education, intervention and prevention in the cycle of drug abuse. Encourages parents to develop better family relationships and networks with other service providers and other families for support.

eARLY YEARS FAMILY HUB
The Child and Family Hub Coordinator responds to enquiries from Parents, Grandparents and Carers of dependent children who seek independent advice about family supports, information, referrals or resources relating to child-rearing in the Gympie Region.
INFORMATION sharing about family related activities re:
- Availability of Supported Playgroups, Playgroup Qld. Toy Library, Parent Self Help Groups, Child Care and Parenting Programs which aim to develop a positive healthy lifestyle.
- Addressing concerns about child development, including delays and behaviour difficulties.
- Respecting diversity and valuing cultural lifestyles when assisting choices to be made from the variety of child care options.
CONNECTING with other family-focused services and self-help groups to:
- Enhance access to existing community services by families.
- Make contact with other families with similar interests.

Lifeline offers support for adult men who need information, emotional support, personal development and relationship skills. The project aims to assist men in establishing and maintaining satisfying relationships with their partners, and in their recovery from separation from partners and children.

SAFE CHOICES: Domestic Violence Perpetrators Program.
Lifeline has started their much awaited program for perpetrators of Domestic Violence. Supported by Gympie Police, Probation & Correction Service and our local magistrate; aiming to help reduce the incidence of Domestic Violence in our community.

AFTER SEPARATION

The Sunshine Coast Family Relationship Centre has an outreach office in Gympie, to assist families through separation.
It is the first point of call for families in this region who are seeking to make their family relationship better; families who are separated, or who are going through separation.
The Family Relationship Centre can assist other people who are affected by these issues, such as grandparents and other extended family members.
The FRC is staffed by qualified experienced professionals who are able to provide high quality, safe and confidential services, to assist families who find themselves in such circumstances.
They offer assessment, referrals, mediation and parenting plans.

FOUNDATIONS (Parenting Orders Program)
This program is designed to enable children's rights to feel secure, and have an ongoing, loving relationship with both parents. The Moving Forward Program provides workshops for both parents and children, to start moving forward away from conflict and towards a more cooperative or business like relationship.

FREE LEGAL SERVICE
The aim of the free community legal services is to provide quality legal advice with an emphasis on access to justice for people who are socially and economically disadvantaged within the Gympie region. The services offer advice and referral only, and cannot provide legal representation. Each session is 15 minutes.
